We are so excited to show you this beautiful part of the pilgrimage The Camino in Spain. The complete path of The French Way of The Camino is 500 miles. We will walk the last 110 miles from Villa Franca de Bierzo to Santiago de Compostela in northwestern part of Spain.
This pilgrimage has been well known in Europe for centuries, but these days there are pilgrims on this trail from all over the world. People walk this path for religious reasons but it seems that now the motive is also spiritual and personal. You will be walking for seven days. Average daily mileage is 15 to 20 miles. Some days are quite a lot of uphill walking but there are also days where the path takes you through meadows, hillsides and along meditative rivers.
Ancient churches and buildings as well as endless green meadows and forests are your inspirations.
This is not about getting to the next little village first in a hurried way, but rather enjoying what you encounter on your walk and stop where your spirit tells you along this most beautiful path.
You cannot get lost on this trail as it is marked with the symbolic shell in all forms and colors and the yellow arrows to spur you on.
For inspiration watch the movie: The Way with Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez. Also the Documentary: Walking The Camino: Six ways to Santiago.
Then get your hiking shoes ready and call us!!! Lets go for a WALK together!!!!
