We’re thrilled to welcome you to The Ashram Canary Islands—our newest international retreat, set on the breathtaking island of La Palma. Known as La Isla Bonita (The Beautiful Island), La Palma is one of the most pristine and unspoiled of the Canary Islands. With its dramatic volcanic terrain, lush forests, and sweeping ocean views, it’s no wonder this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve has become a hiker’s paradise.
Offered in February, when much of the world is still deep in winter, La Palma delivers a sun-drenched escape—mild, springlike days, warm ocean breezes, and inviting waters perfect for swimming make it the ultimate mid-winter reset.
La Palma Program Overview
The Ashram Canary Islands is a 7-day immersive wellness experience designed to reset body, mind, and spirit. Each day includes invigorating hikes through La Palma’s wild terrain, yoga and stretching sessions, deep-tissue massage, and vibrant, locally sourced cuisine. Nestled between mountains and sea, this new retreat delivers the signature Ashram blend of adventure, introspection, and transformation. As always, we keep our groups small to ensure personalized care and a deep sense of community.

Trails of La Palma
La Palma’s volcanic landscape offers some of the most breathtaking hiking in the world. Daily treks take you through misty pine forests, ancient lava fields, coastal cliffs, and rugged ridge-lines. Led by experienced Ashram and local guides, each route is designed to challenge and inspire.

The Ashram Canary Islands is hosted at Anamcara (“Soul Friend”), a newly built ocean-view sanctuary exclusively reserved for our guests in the charming town of Fuencaliente. Each spacious suite features a private balcony, en-suite bathroom, and uninterrupted views of the Atlantic, where sky meets sea in a seamless horizon. Thoughtfully designed for comfort and serenity, this refined setting offers the perfect escape—inviting you to unwind, rejuvenate, and immerse yourself in quiet luxury.

Travel Details
You’ll fly into La Palma Airport (SPC) and take a 30-minute taxi ride to the retreat (approximately 45 euros). Most major European cities offer flights into La Palma.

A detailed packing list and directions will be provided when your balance is processed.
Deposit
To confirm your reservation, a $2,500 USD deposit is required. The remaining balance of $4,800 USD will be automatically charged to the same card 60 days prior to your arrival.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel 60 days or more before your scheduled arrival, your deposit will be refunded minus a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations made within 60 days are non-refundable. However, if we are able to fill your space, we will gladly issue a refund, less the 10% fee.
In the Event of Early Departure
If you need to leave the program early for any reason, we kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to offer refunds once the retreat has begun. We deeply appreciate your commitment to the experience and recommend securing travel insurance to help protect your plans in case of unexpected changes or emergencies.

Yes. Each room has complimentary WiFi, though we do ask that you minimize your use for the sanctity of our retreat as well as consideration for other guests.

To fully enjoy the program, guests should be in good cardiovascular shape. Daily hikes span 4–6 hours through varied volcanic and coastal terrain, designed to invigorate and challenge.

Expect nourishing, plant-based meals made with fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms and markets. Each dish is crafted with love to energize, replenish, and celebrate the vibrant flavors of the Canary Islands.
